FAQ

  • Where is Offworld Outpost?

    We have two shops on site, Offworld Outpost is located at the Barleylands Craft Village near the main entrance and Outpost 6 is further into the village near the courtyard.

  • Is there parking available?

    Yes, there is plenty of spaces at the main carpark for Barleylands and its free!

  • I don't drive, is there any public transport?

    Yes, the 300 bus stops outside the Magic Mushroom. Billericay and Basildon train stations are both 2 miles away.

  • Do you provide games and/or equipment?

    We can supply terrain for tabletop games both 40k and fantasy and other essentials such as dice. We don't currently have any board games on site to use but you are more than welcome to bring your own.

  • Do I need to book in advance for a table?

    While you may be able to find an impromptu game while here, booking ahead is advised as we do have busy periods and do not wish for you to ahve a wasted journey.

  • Are there any age restrictions to play/join events?

    We are a family friendly establishment and welcome all ages however some events run late, all events can get quite loud and we accept no responsibility for unsupervised children.

  • I have mobility issues, are you wheelchair friendly?

    Yes, both stores are wheelchair accessible and sit at ground level.

  • What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

    For an unladen European Swallow is roughly 11 meters per second, or 24 miles an hour.

  • Can I trade in my cards/miniatures/ collectibles with the store?

    Yes, we take walk-in trades any time during our opening hours and we are happy to do store credit, cash or simply straight trades. Please note that larger collections will take time and on event days or weekends it might not be possible to process a trade.

  • Can I trade my cards/miniatures/collectible with other customers?

    Yes, however we don't take any responsibility for trades that happen at our store that do not directly involve us.

  • Are your events rookie friendly?

    Yes, we have a community first approach to gaming and have been lucky enough to have built one that focuses on getting players involved and learning from the moment they join the hobby.

  • Do you serve food and drink?

    Yes, we serve hot and cold drinks and a variety of snacks. Only food and drink bought on the premises may be consumed here.

  • Can you teach me [Insert Game Here]?

    While we do sometimes run events that can aid with hands on tutoring we can't necessarily do one to ones to teach you a whole game from scratch but we will always be able to help with the basics and definitely point you in the right direction to get you what you need.

  • Do you stock[Insert Game Here]?

    Maybe. We try to stock as much as our shelves will allow but if we don't we may be able to order in special items upon request.

  • Do you accept pre-orders/reservations?

    Unfortunately we do not offer pre orders or reservations on our products.
